Q:What is RF Micro-needling?
A: RF Micro-needling involves the use of tiny, sterile needles that create controlled micro “injuries” to the skin. Micro-needling can be performed with a serum, and with radiofrequency (RF). RF Micro-needling allows for deeper penetration of serum into the skin and boost elastin and collagen production. The result is a more uniform skin texture and tone. When combined with RF, micro-needling also creates a tightening effect with a higher stimulation of collagen production.
The entire face is first numbed with a topical ointment to ensure a painless treatment. After applying a thin layer of serum to the skin, the pen is gently moved across the skin’s surface, where it creates thousands of micro-channels in the skin. This process triggers the body’s natural production of growth factors, fresh collagen, and elastin for smoother and thicker skin. The micro-needling process will also help topical skin care products penetrate 3000% more. The number of passes I make depends on the patient’s individual skin health and skin regimen.
Although my RF micro-needling patients usually start to see results one to two weeks after the first treatment, a series of three to six treatments, spaced four weeks apart, is recommended. you will get a personalized treatment schedule based on your individual needs and goals. If you have deep wrinkles, substantial skin damage, or scarring, you may need more than six treatments to see your desired results. Ultimately, new collagen and elastin formation in the skin often results in visible improvement for up to one year.

Q: Is RF Micro-needling performed with serums?
A: Yes, due to the 3000% more absorption that micro-needling gives us, we use three serums to concentrate on specific needs. We recommend micro-needling with the use Swiss Apple Vegan Stem cell serum. The stem cells of the famous Uttwiller Spätlauber trees of Switzerland have been scientifically proven to trigger the epidermal cells of the skin to begin self-renewing at a pace similar to that of early youth. This prevents the skin from sagging, developing lines and wrinkles, and appearing unhealthy or dull.

There is virtually no downtime after RF micro-needling. Skin may look slightly pink or have moderate redness, but there are very few other side effects. We strongly recommend using products provided to you exclusively for the first four days. Mineral-based make up may be used if necessary during this period of time. After full recovery, you may continue your usual product regimen.
RF Micro-needling results typically last 1 year after treatment. You can prolong your results by using the skin care regimen that we recommend. For best results 6 treatments are advised. Plan on maintenance treatments once or twice a year after your initial treatment series to keep up your results.
Your skin might look slightly pink to moderately red for up to 24 hours after treatment. We can recommend products to minimize these symptoms and enhance the results.
